Our emerging proposals

 

The age of the estate means that the existing homes are not as energy efficient as they could be. We would like to refurbish the existing homes, whilst also providing new high quality landscape areas and improved security on the estate.

 

To fund the refurbishment of the current homes on the estate, we are looking to build new homes at Mount Close, allowing us to deliver more affordable homes for working Londoners on modest incomes.

 

Refurbishing the existing homes

The scope of the refurbishment work to homes include:

  • New double glazed windows, thermally efficient front doors, and cavity wall insulation to improve the thermal envelope and help lower bills.
  • Mechanical ventilation, provided for all homes.
  • New heating systems that won’t be reliant on gas.
  • An improved thermal envelope to lower the amount of energy required to heat homes.
  • New contemporary kitchens and bathrooms.
  • New low energy LED lighting to further lower bills.
  • Smart metering technology.

Our plans

Alongside the refurbishment works, our plans for new homes, improved security, and public spaces include:

  • Introduction of high-quality landscaped areas, with seating.
  • Secure communal gardens with new play opportunities.
  • Trees and planting to increase greenery and biodiversity.
  • Better lighting to improve security on the estate.
  • Secure cycle storage.
  • Improved bin storages and refuses area.
  • Electric charging points for vehicles.
